Over 42 years ago, in the warm sun of Tucson, AZ, an engineer had a vision of using technology to solve real world problems. The result of this effort is Tri-Tronics, a company where people that are passionate about what they do and driven to succeed come together to make the best dog training products in the world.
By creating an open and friendly environment where learning, self improvement and doing what you love are highly valued, and by creating products for customers that rely on us for unmatched performance and quality, Tri-Tronics has remained successful and profitable, even in the toughest of economic times. We believe that hiring the right people, giving them the right tools and challenging them to do their best work are critical to this success.
Our employees are serious about their work, very intelligent, confident in their abilities, willing to learn from their mistakes and share their knowledge with others, and committed to the products we make. We work hard, but we believe in a healthy balance between work and life, so we also have a lot of fun and feel that a good sense of humor helps relieve the stress inherent in being very busy accomplishing a wide range of design and development tasks.
We currently have three openings for the right people to join our great team. These people will have responsibility for the design and development of complete product lines, support of existing products, and various research and development tasks.
Mechanical Engineer/Product Designer: We are seeking someone skilled in product development and design, with a strong knowledge of using SolidWorks to design and create a wide variety of parts and assemblies, including injection molded plastics, metal stampings, and formed rubber gaskets to name a few. Design of ruggedized parts, experience with waterproofing, passing durability testing and design verification, managing tool builds, part selection and testing, first article acceptance, understanding design of products for use by end consumers and experience with all phases of development from concept through production and support are all great skills to have.
Electrical Engineer: This individual will be comfortable in both hardware and software/firmware development roles, with responsibility for developing products from the ground up, being involved in the initial specifications, research and development, testing, verification, managing layouts and builds of prototype units, and all other facets of taking a product from a concept to reality. Some key areas of technology we are working in are VHF RF, GPS, pulse transformers, rechargeable battery powered systems, PIC microcontrollers and low power designs.
If you have the ability to offer the company all of the above, you will be rewarded with a competitive salary and benefit package in a great work environment. Interested?
Of course, if you fit any of the
above AND are a Tri-Tronics® product user, an avid hunter or outdoorsman,
this might be an ideal match for us both!
